The Vitellaria (Shea) tree, found in Africa, grows a tart fruit with an oil-rich nut. Oil is extracted from the Shea nut and it’s rich moisture is used to calm and repair even the driest of places. Shea butter is a common derivative from the Shea nut, and it is found in many lotions and cosmetics as a rich moisturizer. That is our mission for Shea Counseling: to enrich lives. We aspire to enrich and positively impact every person that reaches out to us. Unconditional & Consistent
Along with the African Shea tree, Shea Counseling found inspiration for its vision from a Cavapoo dog named Shea. During a difficult time, Shea was the best companion through it all, always by his owner’s side offering unconditional support. As a young dog, he did not always know the right words or actions to comfort his owner, though it was simply his presence that made a difference. At Shea Counseling, we aspire to offer support to others going through challenging times just as Shea did to his owner: through unconditionally and consistently showing up. Unlike Shea, however, we show up as licensed professionals who specialize in supporting people through various mental health struggles and relationship issues.
